David and his wife Susie have attended Tahoe Church since they moved to Truckee part time in 2009. In the Fall of 1977 David gave his life to Jesus. Susie and David married in 1980 after David completed bible school. They settled in Oroville Ca, raised their 3 children there while serving in the Oroville Church of the Nazarene.
Their daughter Katie, son in law Ryan Kosich and grandchildren Conner and Cora attend Tahoe Church. David started ministry as a volunteer Youth Director in Oroville and eventually taught adult Sunday school and home life groups while building a business with his wife Susie along with 15 employees. Over the last 16 ½ years David has taught part time in the Bible School of Transformation in Oroville. Occasionally he preaches at Tahoe Church. He currently serves on the Tahoe Church board as Treasurer.
Bruce and his wife Angie have been attending Tahoe Church since shortly after their move to Truckee from Woodland CA in 2020. Bruce retired from work as a small animal veterinarian and sold his practice where he had worked for 32 years.
He now works part-time for the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe. They had both been very involved in the ministries of Life Pointe Church and Woodland Christian School, where daughters Emma and Faith attended.
Bruce and Angie came to faith and were baptized together on Easter Sunday in 1999. Bruce served terms on the board of both organizations, including about ten years on the church board.
He had the privilege and awesome experience to see God’s hand at work through some very challenging times with both the school and the church, including their ultimate separation from each other into entities that have since thrived. In his first year on the Board here at Tahoe Church he has similarly seen God work in big ways, including our independence from the denomination, and he looks forward to what He has in store for us going forward.

My vision is to help the church continue to grow as a place where people can feel welcome, to worship, and share the word of God. An added purpose is to conserve the beauty of the church property and use it to provide an atmosphere of peace, worship, and education as a priority.
My career spanned nearly forty years of public education serving as a teacher, principal, superintendent, and mentor for future leaders seeking a doctorate in educational leadership and career advancement. Being on many boards throughout my life has given me the opportunity to problem solve, contribute to the health and vitality of the community, and work with others to come together to make decisions for the best opportunities for children. As a public school superintendent in four California school districts, I had the incredible honor of serving and attempting to bring out the best in others. This is the defining point of my life’s professional purpose.
My personal philosophy is to make each day the best day of my life and let my light shine before men so they may see my good works and good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Pat is originally from Akron, Ohio, graduating from the Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) with a degree in Physical Therapy and from Kent State University with a degree in Counseling. She has lived in a few different places around the country and finally landed in Truckee around 9-years ago after marrying my husband, David. We have been blessed to call Tahoe Church our home since then.
At Tahoe Church, she has been active in directing and helping organize Women’s Ministry activities including small group women’s bible studies, single day and weekend retreats, social events and a mentoring program. She’s also participated in the church’s exercise, hiking and outdoor programs and registration for children’s church. Pat and her husband, David, have greatly enjoyed the friendships, community, spiritual growth and support from our home fellowship group for 7 yrs.
Pat is extremely thankful to all the strong Christians who have poured the love of Christ into my life. Through the faithful teaching of pastors, bible study, Christian friends and members of fellowship groups, I am much stronger in my Christian faith and my love of Jesus. With all of this, plus personal prayer, study and scripture memorization/ meditation my family and I have been able to stand strong through deep and unexpected struggles.
Personally, my desire is for members of Tahoe Church to grow in their faith and love of Jesus and to help cultivate men’s, women’s and couple’s fellowship groups, Community Groups, retreats, social events and other family opportunities for this growth to occur.
Kappie, her husband Steven, and their three sons, aged 15, 12, and 9, have been part of Tahoe Church since moving to Truckee 11 years ago. Over the years, Kappie has served in various roles, including nursery team organizer, leading women's hiking groups, coordinating meal trains, and preparing hot chocolate for Easter and Halloween events. She values the authentic community at Tahoe Church, where believers invest in each other and live out the heart of Jesus.
Having completed one term, Kappie is honored to be nominated for a second. In her first term she contributed to the church move to independence and alternated as board chair. She is currently working on establishing a membership process and creating programming content. With a strong understanding of the church's history and clear vision of what lies ahead, she is eager to continue representing the body of Tahoe Church.
We have a team of amazing leaders who provide Spiritual oversight and guidance over church resources and mission.
