Why should I give to Tahoe Church?
The Bible clearly teaches that everything belongs to God. Whatever we possess—our money, talents, even the breath in our lungs—is all on loan to us. As followers of Christ, we're called to faithfully steward these resources to advance Jesus' kingdom, not our own.
1 Chronicles 29:14 "But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
By contributing to Tahoe Church, you join us in bringing God's Kingdom to Tahoe as it is in heaven. We can’t accomplish our mission without your support. At Tahoe Church, we value every gift, whether it's a single penny or a million pennies. So thank you for trusting God with your finances and partnering with us.

How can I give to Tahoe Church?
There are many ways to give to Tahoe Church. Here are some of the most common:
Give Online
Giving to Tahoe Church online is simple and secure. Schedule recurring giving or make a single gift using your checking account, debit, or credit card by clicking on the “Give Now” button above. Check out this video for a quick tutorial on how to set this up.
Give by Check, Direct Pay, or with a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Sending funds directly to Tahoe Church reduces fees for every transaction by 3%, allowing your giving to support the mission of the church even further.

If you would like to make a major donation or contribute stocks and/or securities, real estate, or other non-cash assets to Tahoe Church, please contact us at accounting@tahoe.church
Give Employer-Matched Donations Through Benevity
If your employer uses Benevity, we would encourage you to consider giving to Tahoe Church through your Benevity account to benefit from any matching dollars that your employer might offer to multiply your gift. Where does my donation go?
Transparency and responsibility with funding are core to our values as a church. When you give to the Tahoe Church general fund, your donation goes directly to Tahoe Church and is used to finance the ongoing ministries and operations of the church.
Our General fund is dispersed approximately into these 4 categories:
- 10% of giving is invested in missions, local outreach, and community benevolence.
- 30% of giving covers ministry and operations expenses such as weekly ministry programs and facility costs.
- 55% of giving supports the Tahoe Church Staff Team and their families, allowing them to serve and equip the Tahoe Church family.
- 5% of giving is allocated to savings for strategic investments and emergency funds.
When you designate your giving to a particular ministry or purpose, every dollar of your gift will go towards that interest.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes. Tahoe Forest Church is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and therefore all giving to Tahoe Church is tax deductible.

How does Tahoe Church maintain financial accountability?
At Tahoe Church, we are deeply committed to maintaining financial transparency and accountability. You can read all about the Tahoe Church Financial Principles here.
Financial decisions are advised by a volunteer finance team and day-to-day decisions are made by church staff, all within a budget that is approved by our Board of Directors on an annual basis. For additional accountability, every receipt and transaction is accounted for and verified by a trusted and authorized accountant.
Additionally, every year we voluntarily conduct an audit of our fiscal year finances, including financial processes, internal controls, and financial statements, to ensure we are in alignment with the highest ethical standards.
