Expectations -

Audio Team

Learning objectives and specific responsibilities -

• Learn and continue to grow in understanding all aspects of signal flow, sound mixing and processing
• Ensure the audio mix (both in-house and online) are crafted to foster impactful audience engagement

Visual Team

Learning objectives and specific responsibilities -

• Learn and continue to grow in understanding signal flow, ProPresenter (visual software), and LightKey (lighting software)
• Ensure visuals are appropriate and impactful, enhancing the worship and learning experience during service offerings

HOST TEAM

Greeters

Purpose
To help those who visit our campus feel welcome with a friendly greeting. We seek volunteers who wish to share their warmth and hospitality by simply giving a friendly smile and/or wave to make people feel welcome. 

Great for people who want to set a positive, inviting tone for attenders of Tahoe.Church and have a warm, welcoming presence – even around strangers!

Expectations - 

• Arrive 30 minutes before service
• Greet attendees as they arrive

Brew Crew

Purpose
Our purpose is to use the gift of hospitality to bless people at our church gatherings. Provide a welcoming and warm place for people to gather by offering beverages and snacks before and after church services.

This ministry is for someone who likes to be behind the scenes, has an eye for making an area look freindly, neat and accessible,  and make others feel comfortable and cared for!

Expectations -

• Arrive 1 hour before the first service 
• Make coffee and hot water and set out snacks, paper products, and drink fix-ins
• After service, rinse containers, put away condiments, restock.

TEACHER (Preschool, K-2nd, or 3rd-5th)

Expectations -

• Arrive 15 minutes before service
• Lead a classroom of 2-15 children through a set curriculum of a story and activities

NURSERY CARE

Expectations -

• Arrive 15 minutes before service
• Care for babies under 3 years of age during Sunday Service

Want to support young families!

CHECK-IN

Expectations -

• Arrive 15 minutes before service
• Help parents check students into the appropriate classroom

Great for people who -
Desire to engage with the families of Tahoe.Church and don’t want to miss the sermon to serve!

LOBBY SET-UP

Purpose -

We prepare the environment and context for the community to worship God on Sunday. We are mostly a manual labor ministry. If you like to roll up your sleeves and get things done, this is a perfect ministry for you.

Expectations -

• Arrive one hour before the 1st Sunday gathering
• Set up church spaces including auditorium and outdoor lobby (in winter) or amphitheater (in summer)

Great for people who -

Enjoy being active and on their feet

and want to start their morning serving the church.

LOBBY TEAR-DOWN

Purpose -

To restore the church facility to it's typical condition after Tahoe.Church weekend gatherings. We're a team of volunteers who help return the facility to its weekly purposes. For example, we fold tables, take down canopies, signage and chairs and assure the items are stored correctly. Many hands make the work light, so join us if you like to put a little muscle into it!

Expectations -

• Stay up to one hour after our 2nd gathering
• Return chairs, tables, coffee supplies, and decorations to where they are stored

Great for people who -

Enjoy being active and on their feet and feel more active and ready to serve later in the day.

WORSHIP TEAM (General)

Expectations -

• Serve two weekends per month
• Participate in weekly, mid-week rehearsals
• Begin sound check one hour before service
• Come to rehearsals and services prepared with your specific parts

Great for people who -
desire to be part of a team who wants to grow in their musical abilities and lead others into worship through music

Musicians

Specific Responsibilities -

• Work to memorize chords and instrumental parts as recorded on album (or create parts, skill-level allowing)
• Own and maintain personal instruments and equipment needed to perform

Vocalists

Specific Responsibilities -

• Work to memorize lyrics to songs for Sunday services
• Learn melodies (lead vocalist) and/or harmonies (backup) for each of the songs in the set
• Prepare small devotionals or prayers during worship set (worship leader track)
